A subclass 491 visa for skilled people nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in regional Australia
You must be nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency.
Your occupation must be on a relevant occupation list and receive a positive skills assessment for the occupation

You may stay in Australia for 5 years, you can travel from Australia while your visa is valid, this visa allows a permanent visa path 3 years from time of your visa grant.
The Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491) Visa also allows you to include family members e.g. spouse, de facto partners, dependent children and other dependent family relatives in your application.
491 visa can be refused for a number of reasons. The 491 visa application also has strict criteria which all must be met and only very limited waiver provisions for age, English language and skill requirements exist.
